Johanna Gibson (she/they) is a trans-femme Master’s student in English at Dalhousie university with a particular academic focus on queerness and disability in science fiction stories. She has been writing and performing poetry, music, and short fiction in Halifax since 2020. Johanna’s work—particularly her latest music released under the moniker “Johanna: goddess, etc.”—leans into a simplistic, DIY folk and punk ethos. Prior to moving to Nova Scotia, they have lived in Ottawa, Montreal and Glasgow, Scotland.
